We are partnered with a market leading manufacturer and distributor of construction materials, an international business who are part of a multibillion turnover group. We are recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant who will be an integral part of the finance team based in Blackburn. You will work alongside the Financial Controller in the collation and processing of month end information to facilitate financial reporting, compliance and controls in accordance with the financial month end reporting timetable alongside support for the Overseas Offices across the Eastern Hemisphere to ensure the monthly Consolidation for EH, including Taxation and Audit compliance. This will include regular communication with global partners and with all levels and departments of the business internally. Support to the VP Finance & Shared Services for information requests. Reporting to the financial controller you will lead a team of two direct reports, managing their day to day, 121’s and lead them in the responsibilities and activities required.
  • A levels or equivalent
  • Professional accounting qualification, CIMA/ACCA/ACA or similar or part qualified
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • High level of interpersonal skills to enable integration across all levels within the organization and external advisors
  • International exposure would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of US GAAP would also be advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems e.g. SAP, Sage L 500; also, implementation would be useful
  • Experience of Consolidation packages ideally Longview, or MS Dynamics would be advantageous
  • A second foreign European language would be beneficial In return my client is offering a basic salary of £50,000 - £55,000, bonus and benefits.
