We are partnered with a global leading business who are at the forefront of innovation and technology, ensuring they provide proven and practical solutions to their clients. We have been retained to engage with an experienced, attentive and confident Contracts Manager to work on a part time basis (20 hours a week - working from home, with office working as and when required)

Reporting to the Commercial Director and working alongside the commercial and legal teams, you will develop a thorough understanding of the Contracts, RISQ’s & PQQ’s to leverage maximum potential whilst mitigating potential risk to ensure delivery of a world class sales service.

Key Responsibilities

In line with the above, the successful candidate will work closely with the commercial and legal teams and be responsible for;

  • The undertaking of commercial contracts and records such that high value projects can be brought to fruition quickly and with minimal risk
  • Ensure timely and efficient compliance of PPQ’s managing risk and customer expectation
  • Management of RISQ’s qualification scheme to ensure continued compliance
  • Reduce the company’s exposure to risk and claims by applying own commercial and contractual knowledge, balanced with awareness of risk and within the business and across the industry
  • Review and amend as appropriate processes relating to Contracts, RISQ’s and PQQ’s
  • Work in close collaboration with the sales and legal teams
  • Regularly and fully participate in the upkeep and management of the contracts using the internal CRM system (Dynamics)

Candidate Requirements

  • HND/HNC/Degree educated, preferably within a relevant engineering/construction discipline
  • Legal expertise in relevant construction contracts/RISQ’s/PQQ’s
  • Understands the benefits of, and successfully utilises appropriate IT systems including CRM
  • Able to see the wider picture, including interdependencies and bottle necks
  • Able to manage complex workloads
  • Effective communicator who can bring diverse opinions and perspectives together
  • Problem solver with critical thinking mind set
  • Confident and able to justify risks and contracts
  • Experience presenting/training of relevant sales/commercial teams where appropriate
  • Ability to travel within the UK & I to customer sites
