The Opportunity:

Gatwick Airport is currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team.

In this varied and interesting opportunity, you will play a pivotal and role in supporting the wider team to drive improvements in the cost management of budgets.

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for providing timely financial insight, analysis and management information.

As the Finance Assistant you will proactively support the Finance Business Partner with building their operational cost and income budgets and forecasts, across the business

Reporting into the Finance Business Partner, you will support and often take the lead, in the day to day management of operational cost budgets, working directly with different departments and budget holders. As a Finance Assistant you will have the ability to deliver credible analysis and insight to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

  • Month end
  • Management information, insights, and reporting
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Reconciliations
  • Tracking costs
  • Control and processes

Do you have what we’re looking for?

Skills & Expertise

  • Ability to demonstrate a full suite of analytical skills, ranging from strong data manipulation through to communicating conclusions succinctly.
  • Experienced in using excel, SAP and GDW to prepare month end reports that clearly show the operational and financial performance of departments.
  • Competent to a high standard using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to influence, and support both financial and non-financial managers
  • Ability to plan and prioritise, with a focus on delivery.
  • Ability to forge strong collaborative relationships inside and outside of Finance.
  • Accuracy and detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.

Qualifications

  • Previously/currently studying a finance qualification (such as; CIMA or ACCA)
  • Degree (or similar) in a Finance related subject
