HR Business Partner

(Security)

What is the role?

As the HR Business Partner for Security you will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop people plans for their specific area that supports, the overall strategic objectives of the organisation.

The HR Business Partner will be aligned to the Head of Security and will use their relationship and coaching skills to enable the creation of focused business solutions that develops the people agenda and supports the wider people activities including talent, people development and diversity and inclusion

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and deliver departmental people plans for client group areas ensuring alignment to overall company goals and people plan.
  • Identify and manage people related risks, support managers to put mitigating actions in place, in line with legislation and best practice. Resulting in minimal legal claims, and timely resolved issues
  • Use data and insights to enable people leaders to understand our people and facilitate good decision making, to drive down metric targets.
  • Coach managers to be effective people leaders and drive high performance, in line with legislation and policy
  • Develop succession plans utilising regular talent reviews to track talent and build a platform of future talent.
  • Support and lead on projects in various people disciplines; engagement, wellbeing, organisational design etc..

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • Previous experience as a business partner in a fast paced operational environment
  • Ability to build senior level relationships quickly and effectively
  • Full knowledge of HR framework and legal process to shape and build solutions
  • Experience of working in a HR model with centre’s of excellence/functional specialists
  • Demonstrable knowledgeof HR disciplines and emerging HR trends.
  • Ability to use data to support effective decision making.
  • An advocate for change, leading and supporting the business areas to make the right decisions.
  • Effective at coaching leaders to be their best and promote a positive working environment.
  • Experience in delivering talent reviews and building succession plans.
  • Knowledge of practical solutions in a variety of HR topics
  • Confident in challenging status quo and providing solutions, being tenacious to ensure they are delivered
  • Resilient and comfortable in a fast paced changing environment
  • Commercial - able to view and quickly understand the financial impact of decisions made
  • Supportive and works well as part of a team
  • Passionate about own self development
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
