A vacancy has arisen for a part time qualified CBT Therapist or Clinical Psychologist within secondary care adult mental health.

We are looking for someone with the clinical skills to enable them to work with severe, enduring and complex mental health problems, providing assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions to people referred to our services, both individually and in group format, and to support the work of colleagues. As such, there will be ample opportunities to develop consultation and supervisory skills.

The post-holder will work alongside other psychological professionals within a large multi-disciplinary Recovery Team. The team prides itself in being highly supportive and there is provision for individual and peer supervision. The post holder will also have opportunities for Continuing Professional Development and be encouraged to contribute to the professional development of other staff members.

We are particularly keen to encourage applications from candidates who have an interest in developing specialist skills in working with psychosis and bipolar presentations, as part of the role will be to contribute to the delivery of new clinical pathways for this client group.

To be responsible for the systematic provision of specialist psychological services for people suffering primarily from complex mental health problems.In particular, to provide services that meet the agreed service priorities consonant with practitioner experience and expertise. Such services to include the development and implementation of specialist psychological assessment and intervention strategies including clinical casework and the provision of consultancy work generally for the assurance of quality in the use of psychological methods by other team members.
