TREASURY MANAGER

WELLINGBOROUGH

Weatherbys Bank are currently looking for Treasury Manager to join us on a full time, permanent basis at our office in Wellingborough. You will support our Head of Treasury and Head of Finance in the day-to-day management of balance sheet risks, with specific focus on funding, liquidity, interest rate and counterparty risk. Additionally, you will produce business information to make sound commercial decisions to comply with all regulatory and professional requirements.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Support the Finance team with the production of monthly Treasury reports and papers for the Treasury Forum, Deposit Committee and Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO), assuming secretarial responsibilities to each committee
  • Liaise with relationship teams, communicating the proposition as it pertains to liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk management
  • Assume ownership for the production and development of daily lending and deposit reporting for onward distribution to senior stakeholders of the Bank
  • Manage the relationship and associated communications between the Bank and the Bank of England in support of liquidity facility access (live and test environments) in support of on-going liquidity requirements
  • Assume ownership for the trade execution and data capture of Treasury investment positions. This should also involve ongoing liaison with the Banks appointed money market broker
  • Implementing a Funds Transfer Process (FTP) mechanism to reward deposit generation
  • Oversee the Group Finance reporting processes for Treasury including monthly reporting pack, finance charge forecasting and budgeting. Provide insightful analysis of both actual and forecast positions and potential options for the way forward

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Good working knowledge of Banking Regulations & Risk Management practices, Money Markets, Interest Rate & Fixed Income investment products
  • Previous experience of developing a Funds transfer pricing policy and supporting management processes
  • Knowledge of Treasury, ALM, Market risk/IRRBB/liquidity management, derivative products, and regulatory framework (e.g., liquidity coverage ratio, Net Stable Funding Ratio, balance sheet and capital ratios) will be an advantage
  • Counterparty credit analytical skills
  • Professional systems experience (ALMIS, Bloomberg, Microsoft Office tools, specifically Power BI) would be an advantage
  • Demonstrable MI development history
