Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Test Analyst based in Birmingham (1/2 days a week in the office).

What you will be doing

Sitting within the wider Governance and Quality Assurance (QA) team the role holder will be responsible for supporting the test planning activities for the product sprints and executing QA testing within each sprint, at the direction of the test lead. Progressing to taking on the test lead activities in future.

  • Sprint Testing (80%)
    • Carry out reviews of proposed sprint stories and provide feedback on their acceptance.
    • Provide scripting and test estimates for planned stories.
    • Create test scripts based on stories in the sprint.
    • Carry out testing of assigned stories using developed scripts.
    • Raise issues identified in Jira and retest resolutions.
    • Attend Daily Stand Up.
    • Support co-ordination of any third-party testing required as part a of a sprint.
  • Manage and resolve customer support tickets escalated to RDx (15%)
    • Escalated tickets, replicate issue, triage and either:
      • Provide solution, or
      • Agree a bug with development and raise bug in Jira.
      • Communicate outcome and close chat.
    • Vetting of Statement of Works (SoWs) and Change Requests (CR’s) (5%)
      • Non-technical vetting of SoW’s and CR’s
        • Review documents for correct template version, customer details match Companies House records, formatting, spelling/ grammar, etc.
        • SoW or CR match iQuote, with regards to reference number and number of days quoted
        • Communicate and agree any changes with Project Manager.
        • Update Sales Pipeline once complete.
        • Breakdown of billing is correct.

You will ideally have

  • Experience working within an Agile product development environment.
  • Managing bugs and issues through Jira
  • Identifies areas/subjects they don’t know and proactively seeks out knowledge
  • Increased product knowledge
  • Proactively gives and seeks feedback. Accepts feedback graciously
  • Shares insight and works with the wider collective to support Product plans and priorities.
  • Can confidently answer a range of questions about people, processes, and policies
  • ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation level
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented and able to handle and effectively prioritise multiple tasks and activities
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • The ability to recognise problems quickly and efficiently
  • Hands-on experience of manual software testing
  • Experienced in testing web and mobile applications.
  • Proficient in the creation of functional test scripts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Independently works and learns
  • Do not need to be checked in on daily
