Talent & Organisational Development Manager

Location: Cheadle, Cheshire

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Talent, Performance and Development professional to join our HR team in Head Office, Cheadle. Occasional national travel is required as part of this role.

The Role:

This role is responsible for the design, delivery and ongoing implementation of all performance and development programmes aligned to the People & business strategy. Working in collaboration with the HR Director and HR Business Partners to create strategies that facilitate improved organisation performance. This will encompass performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, coaching and development, to meet the current and future needs of Wienerberger.

Key Accountabilities:

Assess current and future talent needs against the business strategy and develop & oversee implementation of appropriate talent management and organisation development strategies.

  • Undertake organisational diagnosis and identify transformation opportunities within the business from a people perspective
  • Lead all people development interventions for the organisation including coaching, individual/ leadership / executive development programs, talent review and succession planning
  • Design and implement blended learning solutions across the business, drawing on knowledge of learning theories, design methods and using technologies to provide L&D solutions
  • Design and deliver OD and change management strategies, processes and initiatives to continue the development of our leadership and management capability
  • Focus on transforming and strengthening our values and championing the behaviours that define our culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Development
    • Implement leadership development interventions that improve the knowledge and capability of key talent to effectively lead the organisation
    • Conduct individual leadership, career and talent assessments as appropriate using a variety of tools
    • Provide coaching and support to key leaders in the creation of robust development plans that meet succession and development needs.
  • Succession Planning
    • Develop and introduce a process which builds bench strength to meet current and future business needs
  • Performance Management
    • Deliver a comprehensive Performance Development Review that focuses employee’s efforts on achievements of business goals
  • Learning and Development
    • Research and design innovative learning interventions using appropriate resources to match identified needs (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, e-learning, retention of high potentials, skill development, leadership programs, cross functional development, knowledge sharing)
    • To continuously undertake a learning needs analysis ensuring that the requirements of individuals and departments are identified
    • Continuously measure and evaluate the effectiveness of performance and development activities
    • Support the development of functional career paths and development plans
  • Organisational Development and Design
    • Identify and analyse organization effectiveness opportunities and recommend initiatives that address global and regional opportunities based on business strategy.
    • Designs the framework for OD, change management, culture, and values building
  • Budget
    • Responsible for the management of the HR L&D budget and utilisation of the Apprenticeship Levy.
  • Learning Management System
    • Be the subject matter expert for our Learning Management System and e-learning platform
    • Execute all training administration with the assistance of the L&D Coordinator.
  • External Relationship Management
    • Manage existing and new relationships with all external Performance & Learning providers

Hours: 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
