What You’ll Do
  • Supervise a team of QA performance and automation engineers
  • Define expectations and develop metrics to monitor results
  • Coach, train and provide regular feedback to the team
  • Participate in architecture, requirement and design reviews and offer thought leadership in driving efficiencies throughout the Software development life cycle.
  • Work across departments and with development, IT leaders, business teams and vendors to align automated and performance testing priorities with product development strategies.
  • Plan and drive implementation of Proof of concepts and pilots for new tools and technology evaluation
  • Ensure high quality on all released code and help minimize production issues
  • Identify potential for improved software development lifecycle and collaborate on optimization opportunities
  • Drive testing methodology and tools to support agile and cross-platform (SaaS, Mobile, API) application development lifecycles
  • Lead our drive towards QA Automation, focusing on scaling our automation capabilities faster and reaching 80% Automation Coverage
  • Champion the usage and adoption of performace testing, technologies and processes and related tools across the organization
  • Support development and ensure implementation and tracking of team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence and a consistent regular process for assessment and improvement
  • Show strong business and technical judgment that will accelerate time to market of releases, while incrementally moving our services towards the long-term vision
  • Work closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
  • Participate in new project development in order to help facilitate automation in conjunction with development as well as ensure manual test coverage
  • Provide oversight and be responsible for ensuring that defined QA standards are followed by all members of the team
What You’ll Bring
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
  • Minimum 4 years supervisory experience
  • At least 8+ years of experience working in QA, mentoring QA staff and end users on quality objectives and testing process
  • Scrum/Agile experience
  • Experience with test automation
  • Strong Software Testers mindset
  • Passion and commitment to quality
Knowledge Of
  • Software development lifecycle
  • Testing and Defect management tools
  • Performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner and JMeter
  • Non-functional requirements and how to test them
  • C# or JAVA and Selenium
Demonstrated Ability To
  • Effectively lead a team of skilled QA Performance and Automation Engineers and achieve business objectives
  • Develop strategies, action plans, and metrics to monitor results
  • Provide specific feedback and coaching to reinforce or modify behaviors for improved performance and goal attainment
  • React quickly to issues that impact the business, develop, and implement solutions
  • Effectively communicate and present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner to all organization levels (in English both verbally and in writing)
  • Drive for results and achieve automation goals
Nice To Have
  • Testing certificates
  • Experience with Jenkins, Concourse or other CI/CD tools
  • Experience in mobility testing
  • Experience with TestRail as test management tool
  • Experience with SQL and Non-SQL databases
