Site Operations Manager
Maltby, South Yorkshire

Following the acquisition of Marshalls Bricks and Masonry in 2018, we have continued developing our people and new and improved manufacturing methods and techniques. We’ve recently launched a new flagship site and structure to enhance production and, we’re now recruiting for a Site Operations Manager to lead our growing team at Maltby!

The mission, should you accept it ....
You will lead all site operational activities, compliance, SHEQ and continuous improvement whilst developing a performance-driven culture with an emphasis on ownership, accountability, transparency and development of the facility and its people. You’ll need to engage the ‘hearts and minds’ of the company’s employees to create and sustain a pro-active culture in all disciplines across the business.

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation with relevant safety systems, quality standards, housekeeping standards etc - we’re open to the type of manufacturing you’ve worked in!
  • Strong people leadership and change management
  • Experience of budget control and managing capital programmes
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of leading and delivering change within an unionised environment
  • Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) would be a real advantage
  • Able to demonstrate the use of data / analytical skills
  • Experience of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques e.g. DMAIC, would be an advantage
  • Degree or equivalent in experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate desirable
