This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to join a busy team, delivering work with direct financial and operational impact in an innovative, fast-growing business. With plenty of opportunity for growth, if you have a keen eye for detail, a positive approach to your work and can work quickly and accurately, this is a great position for you.
Day to day, you will be responsible for processing bank receipts, working with foreign currency, reconciling accounts, liaising with our school customers on queries and acting as a key contact between the Finance and Sales team. You’ll be a key member of the Finance team, with a varied role covering both accounts receivables and payables.
In this role, you will learn:
- How to engage with the finance management of Twinkl, as well as internal (e.g. Schools & Cares teams) and external stakeholders (such as suppliers and banks)
- How to develop your existing knowledge and skills in a growing team
- The potential to take advantage of our internal Learning & Development courses
- Finance team - there are currently 10 of us, a well-connected and supportive team
- Sales team - a big, lovely team; they will be your other main contacts at Twinkl
To succeed in the role, you will have:
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail, spotting mistakes as they arise
- The ability and motivation to adapt, multi-task, and learn quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Great organisational skills - you’ll need to be able to juggle lots of different tasks and prioritise, as you will have competing demands on your time
- Brilliant communication skills to help our customers with their queries and to enable you to establish strong working relationships with other Twinklees
- Team work - you’ll be working with local, international and remote teams both internally and externally
- A strong work ethic, taking pride in what you do
- A passion for spreadsheets, as we use Excel and G-Sheets a lot
- A positive working attitude and enthusiasm towards learning new skills
- Experience using Sage, Quickbooks, or another accounting software
In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting role in a fast-growing and dynamic business, with plenty of career opportunities.
Here are a couple of the things that make Twinkl a great place to be:
- A friendly, welcoming and supportive culture. We believe work should be fun and always put people before the process
- Diversity, inclusion and belonging - our Employee Network Program includes working groups for LGBTQ+, People of Colour, Disabilities (visible and invisible), Women in Tech and Working Parents
- From day 1 - Westfield Health, 33 annual leave days per year (pro rata for part time team members) flexible working policy with opportunities to work from home and Twinkl subscription
- After probation - company sick pay and cycle to work scheme
- Long term service reward - Life insurance, enhanced pension contribution, enhanced maternity pay, enhanced adoption pay and enhanced paternity pay.
