Due to continuous growth, we’re recruiting for a SHEQ Compliance Coordinatorto join our team! You will lead and embed Safety, Health, Environment and Quality at both our Maltbyand Retfordmanufacturing sites. Internally at Marshalls, this role is known as Regional SHEQ Compliance Leader.

What’s the mission?
You will be responsible for ensuring SHEQ Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) standards are adhered to. This involves working closely with the site teams and external support to enable compliance at our Operational sites.

As well as maintaining compliance you will drive improved standards, develop and improve culture, foster site ownership and have active involvement in rectifying issues (such as customer complaints, rejects, EHS incidents) and proactively target and achieve measurable improvements. You will also monitor compliance, policies, procedures, management systems and provide updates to the senior management teams.

This is a dual-site based position and candidates must be able to commute to both our Maltby and Retford sites.

You’ll have the opportunity to work and engage with your peer group who support other Marshalls Bricks and Masonry sites across the UK!

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Previous SHEQ experience in a medium/large manufacturing environment
  • GCSE or equivalent. (A to C qualifications. Maths & English essential)
  • Experienced in ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environment Management and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management
  • Knowledge of Safety and Environmental legislation compliance applied to working situations.
  • Experience of quality management systems and process control
  • Knowledge of standards / testing requirements to which our products need to conform
  • Experience in management of customer complaints and/or supplier issues (non-conformances)
  • Knowledge/use of root cause analysis tools, RCA, MSA and lean techniques would be an advantage
  • Excellent PC skills with working knowledge of all Microsoft packages
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Experience dealing with internal and internal audits and corrective action management.
  • Experience or knowledge of Concrete Technology would be an advantage
