Service Engineer - International Travel required. My client are a specialist in the design, manufacture and service of extrusion machinery to a range of industries worldwide. Due to ongoing success, they are looking to expand their service team with an experienced Service Engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical service experince, be familiar with servicing and maintaining PLC’s, be based near Stoke-on-Trent and be willing to travel internationally for the role.

Service Engineer - International Travel Position Overview

  • Travelling abroad to fault find, repair and maintain extrusion machinery on a scheduled / breakdown basis
  • Commissioning machinery at the depot and on site
  • Undertaking any installation or testing duties that may be required
  • Provide technical support to customers / engineers
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships
  • Producing reports detailing customer visits
  • Travelling both throughout the UK and abroad when required
  • Office duties

Service Engineer - International Travel Position Requirements

  • Strong background in Electrical, Mechanical and software systems
  • Qualified to HNC / time served or equivalent in a mechanical / electrical discipline
  • Good knowledge and experience with 3 Phase electrical systems
  • C&G 18th Edition
  • Possess good working PLC knowledge
  • Experienced with commissioning
  • Happy to regularly travel abroad for the role
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Valid British Passport
  • Based within commutable distance of Stoke-on-Trent

Service Engineer - International Travel Position Remuneration

  • Salary £40,000 - £45,000 plus additional pay for international work
  • Hours Monday - Friday, weekend overtime available
  • 33 day’s holiday including Bank Holidays
  • Expenses paid for international work
