Acorn Travel Group Ltd is an independent, ABTA-bonded tour operator. It specialises in providing educational, cultural, and activity trips for British and international schools, and youth groups to destinations Worldwide. The Company’s Head Office is based in Stourbridge in the West Midlands.

Main duties:

1. Administration of all transport bookings for Acorn Travel Group. To include quote searches, bookings, confirmations, reconfirmation, amendments, cancellations, accuracy control, invoice verification, payments.

2. Create and maintain relationships with transport suppliers (coach, ferry, Eurotunnel, airlines).

3. Support negotiation of rates and standards of service with an aim to maximise value for money and quality of transport provision.

4. Internal liaison with Tour Organisers to ensure accuracy of requirements for transport suppliers.

5. Monitoring supplier compliance against internal standards.

6. Complaint handling and feedback monitoring.

Skills required:

· Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills.

· Good negotiator.

· The ability to multi-task and provide outstanding rapport with a wide variety of clients.

· Be pro-active, possess integrity, tact and diplomacy as well as persistence.

· Methodical and well organised.

· Good geographical knowledge of the UK and the rest of Europe.

· Knowledge of Computer systems and programmes (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Desirable:

· Previous experience of working in transport/logistics

· Ability to speak French
