Senior Structural Engineer

Due to exciting project work across London, within the Defence, Heritage, Refurbishment of Commercial & Retail, Residential, Leisure and Local Authority sectors we are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer who will be responsible for the delivery of structural services across these unique projects.

The successful Senior Structural Engineer will work collaboratively across sectors, bringing impressive levels of structural design experience and expertise. As Senior Structural Engineer you will be responsible for delivering projects on time and to budget.

Other responsibilities include:

• Prepare designs and reports
• Liaise directly with clients
• Control of day-to-day programming and planning
• Co-ordinate work with Civil Engineering teams as required
• Day-to-day use of Tekla and SCIA software (full training provided)

Essential requirements:

• CEng or MICE
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role

• Undertaking relevant CPD activities
• High level broad-based technical appreciation
• Understanding of forms of appointment and construction contracts
• Ability to use various computer software programmes relevant to role
• Excellent client communication skills
• Strong report witing and presentation skills
• Good verbal communication – able to discuss work, coach and supervise employees
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
