Our Opportunity

The team are looking to appoint a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for the team in Leicester.
Experience life at Pick Everard and learn what it takes to succeed as part of our Mechanical team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to innovative and challenging projects through hands-on experience. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role would fit a loyal and career minded individual who is hungry to prove his/her engineering talents.
Your duties would include:

  • Assisting in managing contracts
  • Preparing designs and reports
  • Deputies for senior staff as appropriate
  • Working closely and under supervision of Team Leaders
  • Liaising directly with clients and contractors
  • Helping to ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Responsible for ensuring an understanding and compliance with all Health & Safety requirements, practices, and procedures

About You

Essential Requirements
You are a confident verbal communicator and have strong written communication skills. You are self-motivated and driven for progressive and continued learning. You can work as part of a team but also take a proactive approach and can work off initiative. You can multi-task and deliver to deadlines. You are flexible and adaptable to a varied and changing workload.
Key knowledge and experience we’d like you to have:

  • HND or degree (relevant subjects include building services engineering or mechanical engineering)
  • Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
  • Knowledge of current legislation e.g., Building Regulations
  • Heating, cooling, ventilation system design experience (ideally using Hevacomp)
  • Domestic water services design experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of specification writing/NBS Engineering (desirable)
