Our Opportunity

**

We are looking to recruit an Associate to lead our CAD central Building Services team in Leicester. As Associate you will ensure the CAD Central Team are delivering a high quality service to clients, and lead the delivery of BIM initiatives in the Building Services division nationally.
Over the last year our Building Services CAD central team has grown from strength to strength and in turn we are looking for a passionate people orientated leader, who has a drive for innovation and who will embrace ethical, cultural and strategic aims.
The successful Associate will be responsible representing the firm at client meetings, liaising directly with clients and ensure that the quality of service delivery and output maintains at a high standard.
Other duties include:

  • Control of day to day programming and planning, CADCentral resources and the monitoring of team utilisation including timesheet approval, absence approval and return to work interviews
  • Take an active interest in the Discipline Business Plan and be involved in the delivery of the Business Plan aims and goals. Along with Day to Day control of internal time and fee costs
  • The use of Revit MEP/MagiCAD to create complex 3D building systems geometries
  • Use Engineers mark-ups and sketches to produce MEP drawings in Revit MEP/MagiCAD
  • Creating modelling protocols that allow for export of Revit MEP/MagiCAD content to analysis and visualisation software
  • The use of Solibri to co-ordinate BIM model with all design team members from other disciplines and demonstrate which must be resolved
  • Create Revit MEP/MagiCAD families from scratch or adapt existing families to project needs
  • Involved with bidding, fee tendering and client interviews where required
  • Responsible for ensuring that they and their team understand and comply with all Pick Everard Security, Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedure
  • Provide technical leadership and support to wider M&E Designers throughout the firm
  • Drive the Building Services Division BIM strategy and delivery.

This role will suit a loyal and passionate CAD/ Revit Team Leader who is looking to flourish within a people orientated practice.

About You

**

Technical Competencies

  • Proven capability of managing major projects/clients
  • Experience in the production of coordinated MEP drawings, with a focus on electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Experienced using Revit MEP/MagiCAD
  • Experience in 3D design and co-ordination of multi disciplines
  • Understanding of MEP design processes and the ability to align BIM practices and design processes
  • Familiarity with calculation capabilities of Revit MEP/MagiCAD
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Wide understanding of BIM with emphasis on MEP design and related activities
  • Excellent Powerpoint, Word and Excel skills

  • Excellent written communication – able to annotate drawings/models with details, descriptions and notes, produce guidance notes etc

  • Supportive of wider team in their objectives and engages with other parts of the business
