This is an extremely rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives in a Residential Care Setting. By offering 24/7 care 48 weeks per year, Anne’s School Residence provides short breaks to support families and offers structure and consistency to children and young people.

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Oftsed for the last five inspections, we are looking for a Senior Care Officer with at least 2 years’ experience of working in a childrens’/social care setting and who has supervisor experience. We are looking for ‘outstanding’ people to join our exceptional team.

Currently located in Welton, we are excitedly preparing to relocate to Hessle during the summer of 2022 to a brand new, multi-million-pound purpose-built school and residence. You couldn’t pick a better time to consider joining us!

The Residence (where this post is based) provides a 24-hour structured and consistent approach for children and young people across 48 weeks of the year; in addition to providing overnight short breaks to support families. The children and young people attending St. Anne’s have a range of severe and complex needs.

We pride ourselves on developing self-help, independence, social and communication skills through reactional activities on and off site for children and young people of all ages. Emotional well-being and safety is a high priority.

We are looking for a Senior Care Officer who is an innovative thinker, enthusiastic and motivating in leading a shift. Training opportunities and development are available to all staff.

As a minimum you will hold an NVQ/Diploma level 3 in Care of Children and Young People/Social Care Pathways/Residential Child Care and be willing to work towards further qualifications.

37 hours per week; this role works on a rota pattern covering 7 days a week. Rota available upon request.

Appointments will be subject to satisfactory disclosures at enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Services and other background checks. You must provide at least the last 10 years of employment or education history and explain any gaps and you must have a legal right to work in the UK.
