We are looking for a dedicated, motivated and energetic person to take up the post of SEND Communications and Partnerships Manager for a temporary period of up to 1 year. The post holder will lead and manage SEND partnerships and communications for the local authority, with specific emphasis on parent carer and young people engagement. The role has the lead responsibility for the local area SEND Local Offer website, wider SEND communications to improve individual and strategic communications with children, young people, parent carers and our partners.
You will have excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, along with experience of working in co-production with internal and external partners to ensure that our communications are effective. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a drive to challenge and question when faced with barriers to improve the offer in the East Riding for our young people with SEND.
You will have experience of working with numerous partners including schools, colleges, adult services, health and social care colleagues etc. You will be organised, able to embrace change and build networks and partnerships.
