Since 1957, we’ve enriched the lives of millions of young people by delivering inspirational learning through outdoor adventure. We are searching for an incredible Sales Support Executive to join our friendly and dedicated team in ROSS-ON-WYE.

THE ROLE

We are looking to recruit a Sales Support Executive to join our busy, friendly team. The team handle sales of all UK and France residential trips for Schools. Sales Support Executives cover Sales territories as and when required, most particularly during periods of absence and peak season.

The role is full time 37.5 hrs per week, although we will consider flexible working suck as part time and term time only; occasional visits to Centres are expected, with overnight stays and time off given in lieu.

Key duties include:


  • Effectively manage sales leads from new and existing PGL clients
  • Support the Sales Executives during peak times, when enquiry levels are high and there are high numbers of returning groups
  • Maintain accurate records of each enquiry/booking using the computer-based systems
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators to ensure that individual performance target is met
  • Contribute to departmental monthly and annual performance targets for revenue and bookings
  • Use sales techniques effectively to overcome hurdles and objections in closing sales
  • Work closely with reservation teams to ensure clear communication during enquiry and booking process, using CRM and Res systems (as appropriate) to accurately log customers’ needs
  • Supply customers with all the information they require regarding their prospective trip in a timely manner
  • Handle telephone calls and correspondence for school booking
  • Ensure payments are collected in a timely manner by proactively chasing payments and working closely with the reservations teams to send invoices etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of each booking
  • Identify new party leaders and develop leads to pass to the Sales Executives
  • Carry out sales follow-up to marketing campaigns, generating and qualifying leads for sales colleagues
  • Support the wider sales and customer service teams where workload requires
  • Support with ad hoc project work in line with wider business objectives

IS THIS YOU?

  • Confidence – must have the ability to listen to customers and proactively seek to meet their needs
  • Strong personal organisation skills – ability and experience of effectively prioritising workloads and multi-tasking in a busy open-plan office environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a confident and polite telephone manner
  • Computer literate with experience of Excel
  • Keen attention to detail
  • The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team, adhering to strict deadlines
  • Experience of dealing with customers via telephone and email
