40 hours per week + overtime

Annual Salary £28,868 / £13.88 per hour (40 hours per week) + overtime

So, what’s the Mission about?

We are currently in the process of recruiting a Loading Shovel / Quarry Operative for Howley Park Quarry.

The Role Will Involve
  • Working in a quarry environment
  • Loading LGVs / destocking crushing plant
  • Driving other various mobile plant
  • General maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Operate fixed crushing plant (training for this will be provided).

The Ideal Candidate Should Have
  • A current MPQC or CPCS licence or equivalent with an NVQ level 2 to operate mobile plant (Loading Shovel and ideally be able to operate at least one other piece of plant i.e. excavator, articulated dump truck)
  • Experience of crushing and screening operations and a good understanding of health and safety requirements within the extractive industry.
  • Be able to work on their own or as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to operational changes and prioritise work effectively.
  • Knowledge of general mobile plant maintenance requirements.
  • You will be expected to assist in general housekeeping duties and provide support with maintenance and quality issues.

The successful candidate will be working within a small team and will be required to work and carry out a multitude of different tasks.
