Overview / Responsibilities

Wood are looking for a Production Engineer in the Teesside area to join us on a permenant basis.

Role:

Production Engineer (known as Gas Admin locally) is responsible for the safe co-ordination of gas through-put, gas and liquid re-deliveries to downstream customers, and shipper hydrocarbon accounting reports for the CATS Natural Gas Pipeline.

Rota – On shift, 12 hour shifts, days and nights, including bank holidays.

Job responsibilities:

  • Act as focal point between Offshore Operators, Terminal Ops teams, and Downstream Customers.
  • Manage quality of gas entering the CATS pipeline and quality of gas and liquids which are re-delivered to downstream entities.
  • Co-ordinate and manage CATS pipeline pressures, gas throughputs and liquid re-deliveries.
  • Act as customer service lead for all CATS Pipeline operational enquiries.
  • Ensure that data going into CATS hydrocarbon accounting system is accurate and that reports are valid and available to all stakeholders.
  • Integral part of CATS Initial Emergency Response team including communication with Offshore shippers and downstream entities, along with acting as Scribe for Terminal activities.
  • Produce daily reports on Pipeline and Terminal Performance.
  • Act as communication link between CATS terminal and Client Commercial lead on all aspects of Shipper operation.
  • Act as facilitator for off-spec gas requests (Waiver), measurement system deficiencies (dispensations), and procedure / contract non compliances (deviations), between Offshore operators and CATS based Engineers and Management.

Skills / Qualifications

Applicant must have base qualifications in Maths & English

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Typically requires two to four years of progressively more responsible pertinent experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline
  • Awareness of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution
  • Developing level of knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
  • Developing level of knowledge of industry and technology development within discipline area
  • Working knowledge of specific procedures and applications
  • Solid understanding of policies and procedures that apply to assignments
  • Good level of general computer literacy
