Wood is currently seeking a Graduate Landscape Architect or Landscape Architect to join our Landscape Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with other landscape professionals (designers, planners and managers), as well as urban designers, architects, master planners and town planners at Wood, and to shape your future career within one of the country’s leading multi-disciplinary consultancies.

You will be involved in an exciting portfolio of projects ranging from landscape designs of individual sites to masterplans for both private and public sector clients which include national organisations such as the Homes England, the Crown Estate and National Grid.

There will also be opportunities to contribute towards Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) for major projects.

Key Responsibilties

  • Provide landscape architecture capability for a diverse range of projects at a range of scales, in both urban and rural settings, including urban and country parks, sporting facilities, residential and town/city centre sites, as well as major infrastructure projects
  • Support our team of experienced landscape professionals in design development, with production of drawings/graphics, reports, specifications and management plans, and by undertaking site visits
  • Collaborate with professionals from other disciplines to design fully integrated solutions
  • Present draft and final designs to clients
  • Deliver creative, innovative and attractive environments for people to live and work in, whilst ensuring changes to the natural environment are appropriate, sensitive and sustainable

Essential

:

  • Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Masters in Landscape Architecture
  • Full driving licence

Desirable

:

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (N/A for Graduate)
  • Chartered status with another relevant professional body (N/A for Graduate)

Skills

Essential

:

  • Competent in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD programme
  • Competent in Microsoft Office

Desirable

:

  • Competent in Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud or equivalent graphics programmes
  • Competent in GIS software
  • Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) capability
  • Ambition and ability to develop new client relationships and to assist with the management of existing key clients
