Job DescriptionJob Description and QualificationsIII. DIMENSIONS:The operators have four main activities of which they have targets for, Filling = 33 cyls per man per Hour, Sorting = 60 cyls PMPH, Picking = 60 cyls pmph and loading = 23 pallets PMPH. The cyl fill target per day = 1550 eachesIv. Principal AccountabilitiesProductTo ensure that all activity is performed to the operating procedures to maintain high standards of production to prevent contamination perform analytical procedural requirementsDepotEnsure that systems are operated safely and efficientlyReport all operational faults as they ariseCylinderCylinder handling and loading of pallets and trucksCylinder inspection, cleaning and painting, labelling and minor cylinder repairs SHE ManagementEH&SMaintain safe working practicesReport all situations which arise which could lead to an unsafe conditionComply with all necessary legal & corporate safety standardsSafety and environmental welfare of self and other staffComply with use of P.P.E. in designated operational zonesReport any personal hygiene Quality Management issuesQUALITYEnsure all quality documentation is completedEnsure analytical instrument calibration checks are carried outReport all occasions of product failing to meet specificationThis position is accountable for the following end results:
  • Cylinders filled as per customer request in a timely and safe manner using all Air Products procedures and code of conducts as laid out in the GMB agreement.
V. Minimum Requirements And QualificationsEducation Requirements:
  • Equivalent professional experience in similar role
  • Basic Fundamental education.
  • To be able to operate hand held Scanning Devices
Professional Licence Requirements:
  • Valid FLT License
Preferred Professional Licences and Certifications:Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a similar working environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Be able to work as part of a team and individually
  • Self-motivated independent worker
  • Able to work at pace under pressure
  • IT literate with experience of SAP, Microsoft Office programmes, Hand held devices: Pact would be advantageous.
