Our respected client, a leader in the steel plate processing and fabrications, is currently seeking a Welder to join their team.

Initially day shift 7:30am-4pm but to meet business needs it may go to shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements for planning layout and procedures
  • Preparing and operating welding equipment
  • Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
  • Inspecting welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Deftness and attention to detail
