Do you want to be involved in shaping the delivery of services within the East Riding? Are you interested in public health services, including the recovery from COVID 19? Do you want to help improve services to vulnerable adults and children? If so, this may be your next career move.
We need a motivated individual to fill a current vacancy as a Planning and Procurement Officer where you will work on a range of procurements over their whole life cycle from planning to contract award. These procurements will be focused on health and care requirements for residents of the East Riding of Yorkshire. You will be able to plan procurements, ensuring that appropriate legislation is adhered to, and engage successfully with a range of stakeholders and commissioners as well as external providers. You will have the ability to analysis data to be able to produce recommendations and write reports for senior council officers and Cabinet.
The Council’s Procurement Strategy https://www.eastriding.gov.uk/council/plans-and-policies/all-plans-policies-and-strategies/ is currently being updated, but this provides a clear idea of the direction of travel of procurement within the Council. In addition, the Council’s contract register https://procontract.due-north.com/ContractsRegister/Index?p=1c381835-7581-e611-8114-000c29c9ba21&v=1 will provide an indication of the types of contracts and this role’s portfolio will focus on public health requirements for example social prescribing, drug and alcohol support services.
