£12 per hour Approx. 4 hrs per week

About The Service User

I’m a 40 year old woman with Autism, ADHD and Long Covid. I have a daughter who also has AuDHD and a daughter who has only ADHD, and a husband with Long Covid and possible undiagnosed ADHD. We are currently struggling with challenges related to these issues, in particular with memory, executive function, and mental exhaustion. We need a personal assistant to help clear the backlog of emails, filing and general administration, and to provide support for us stay organised and keep on top of these matters in the future.

Hours and rate of Pay

The position would be hourly, starting at £12/hr and tied to the Cambridgeshire living wage. We would be needing more hours to start off with in order to clear the backlog, but eventually transitioning to a few hours a week. Some of these could be done remotely. As long as the work gets done, we are happy to be flexible.What you would be doing…The successful applicant would be helping with filing, task management and administrative duties including, but not limited to, helping us to manage our email and snail mail, and keeping on top of tax returns and other paperwork.

The person I would like…

I would like someone who is sympathetic towards neurodivergent personalities, and able to provide support in a confident but empathic manner. They would need to be happy to discuss and resolve problems as they arise. They would need have confidence in their abilities, be flexible, and to have good organisation and administrative skills. We are also a very tech-friendly family so the potential applicant would need to be comfortable around computers and tech in general and willing to learn new digital systems and software such as digital filing, scanning, etc. Ideally they would be comfortable with Macs as well as Windows systems.
