What is it all about?

Working on-site at one of our HMP secure units, our Regional Managers are responsible for managing the implementation, delivery, and performance of the programme across the multiple prisons. They provide supervision and support to Employment Coaches to enable them to provide a high-quality service to prisoners whilst developing effective partnerships with other prison departments. The regional manager will also be expected to attend strategic forums in relation to quality and Reducing Reoffending and to contribute to curriculum planning.

How can you stand out from the crowd?

You will need to demonstrate high ethical standards, take personal accountability for everything you do, and always want to be the best. You will need to demonstrate significant experience in a line management role, including experience of contract management and reporting. Ideally you would have dealt with learners with complex needs and be great at building partnerships. You should be a great communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. You’ll need to hold a L6 Career Development Professional and a L4 Assessor qualification or equivalent. You’ll need to confident working in a secure setting. Due to the scope and nature of this role, a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

Please note there are restrictions in place when working in a Secure Environment. Electronic items such as mobile phones or tablets are not permitted. Some prisons do not allow any money to be taken in. In that case, you exchange money for tokens which you can exchange for tea/coffee/food etc.
