Chubb now has an opportunity for a Network Architect in Europe (Ashford, Blackburn, Madrid, Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Lyon). The main goal of this role will be observing network patterns, defining standards for our key network services, and developing network strategies and roadmaps in support of business strategies, plans and desired outcomes. The role will involve partnering with multiple stakeholders, communicating, and gaining buy-in for our multi-year roadmaps and strategies for LAN / Wireless LAN / WAN and Cloud Connectivity

The successful candidate will have strong business, organizational and communication skills with a background of developing, presenting, and driving technology strategies and roadmaps, together with delivering large infrastructure projects within a multi-national / global organization.

Job Description

The focus of this role is to provide thought leadership, direction, and roadmaps for both Hardware and Software Defined Networks, Cloud Networking (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) Network Function Virtualization, LAN, Wireless LAN and WAN optimization technologies across Chubb globally

· Scout and evaluate emerging technologies and provide direction on the strategic evolution of the Chubb global network in support of business strategy, goals and outcomes

· Develop reference architectures, standards and patterns for SD-WAN, SD-LAN, NFV, and Cloud technologies and align with key stakeholders.

· Develop technology roadmaps and gain stakeholder alignment, buy-in and investment

· Collaborate with other Infrastructure groups on Hybrid/Converged solutions

· Be the Network domain expert for Chubb regardless of vendor and technology

· Keep abreast of new technologies and experiment / recommend new solutions that deliver business outcomes

· Be a technical mentor to Network Operations teams

· CCIE Preferred

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications:

· Passion for network technology and service mindset is a must.

· Experience with one or more SDWAN/SDN/Cloud technologies.

· 10+ years of experience in LAN/Wireless Lan /WAN network administration and engineering.

· Experience developing reference architectures

· Strong communications skills

· Experience working in a multi-national / global organization

· Proven track record in creating technology roadmaps that align and deliver against strategy

· Experience with Azure and/or OCI cloud networking
