Responsibilities

· Opening and closing the site, supervision of site and its resources

· Upkeep of vans and equipment including trip kits - purchasing, repairs, maintenance, inventory

· Coordinating resources with operations team including use of Resource Management System

· Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal systems

· Coordinating overall operations and logistics on behalf of Penrith team

· Facilitating trip starts and finishes with guides – pickups, drop offs, delivery and transfer of trip materials, inventory of equipment going out and coming back

· Contributing to the management of Skedaddle guides and confidently conveying key information and upholding key standards with guides

· Coordinating between Penrith & Skedaddle head office (Newcastle)

· Promoting and contributing to Health and Safety and best practices in store, in UK offices and with guides

· Maintaining a focus on improving operational efficiency and quality improvements for UK holidays

· Contributing to Skedaddle best practices and projects as necessary

Skills & Attributes

· Be trustworthy and responsible

· Be well organised, capable at multi-tasking, require little supervision, work well in a team

· Be a sound communicator and personable

· Be a hands-on person, mechanically minded, who takes initiative and can problem solve

· Have a clean driving license

· Have experience and/or qualifications in bike mechanics equivalent to Cytech Level 2

· Have a decent understanding of basic IT systems – Microsoft Outlook & Office, and ability to learn new ones – Microsoft Teams, Skedaddle systems

· Have some DIY knowledge and experience

· Have knowledge of vans and vehicles generally

· Work well and calmly under pressure and be able to cope with the unexpected day to day

· Be a keen cyclist with an interest in travel
