Guardian Industries UK Ltd is offering a permanent vacancy for a:

SHIFT MAINTENANCE MECHANICAL CRAFTSPERSON`

The candidate will be part of the multi-disciplined Maintenance team, providing planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance within a continuous process production environment. Should be able to carry out tasks which require an in- depth technical competence in Mechanical Maintenance, and work in other disciplines as required.

This role is part of our shift team, working days, MON-FRI (07.30AM-16.00PM)

What You Will Do In Your Role
  • Planned corrective and preventative maintenance
  • Supporting break down activities to ensure maximum equipment availability
  • Problem solving activities to prevent repeat failure and improve equipment reliability
You will have the opportunity to work closely with skilled EC&I Engineers to continue development in your chosen discipline

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements
  • You must have served a recognized Mechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship.
  • Be qualified to HNC level in relevant discipline (desirable) or equivalent with proven experience in preventative maintenance.
  • Worked within an industrial manufacturing environment previously.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with chain, belt & direct drive motor/gearbox systems.
  • Applying Continuous Improvement technique.
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Welding/fabrication experience
