The opportunity has arisen for a number of Process Engineers to join our business at an exciting time in Goole, as we embark upon a multi-million pound refurbishment project to transform our operations.
We’re looking for candidates with a wide range of experience to join the existing Process Engineering Team in order to provide technical support to the production lines in Goole. You will be responsible for creating value through process improvement with a clear focus on safety, quality and production.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Responsible for monitoring process controls and KPIs to make process improvements.
- Optimize output, reduce cost and ensure the production lines are predictable and stable.
- Define and monitor the operating envelopes, parameters, and procedures to maintain compliance and a quality product.
- Examine and analyse quality control data.
- Determine root cause of production or quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support claim investigations and customers when needed.
- Implement continuous improvements such as LEAN manufacturing.
- Become the subject matter expert for the production lines.
- Work with the maintenance team to resolve equipment failures.
Requirements
- Degree-educated in an Engineering or Manufacturing discipline or have equivalent industry experience.
- Results-driven with strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experienced working with production teams in a demanding manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Experience driving continuous improvements.
- Comprehensive IT knowledge (MS Office, knowledge of integrated systems).
- Technical experience in the glass and window processing industries would be an advantage.
- Experience implementing LEAN manufacturing.
- Experience working as a process/chemical/materials/manufacturing engineer.
- Experience delivering significant change and transformation to a manufacturing process.
