Job Introduction

This role will manage the BBC wide campaigns and content team to deliver outstanding campaigns, content and editorial across the BBC. Reporting into the Head of Campaigns and Channels, this role is at the very heart of transformation and engagement for the BBC.

Main Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the delivery of BBC wide campaigns to support our priorities
  • Lead a small but high performing team to deliver outstanding campaigns and an impactful editorial programme
  • Work closely with the divisional IC&E teams to ensure campaigns are coordinated and meet the needs of the divisions
  • Manage the teams capacity and prioritisation to make sure they can deliver effectively
  • Ensure campaigns are effective using measurement and insight to make necessary adjustments and establish key learnings
  • Engage, manage and contract with stakeholders to provide the right communications solution and strategic counsel
  • Be an ambassador for the function and represent the BBC IC&E internally and externally (as appropriate)
  • Provide advice to stakeholders in an environment of change; working closely with the BP, Planning, Governance and Engagement and leadership communications team to effectively develop and deliver proactive campaigns that deliver our desired outcomes
  • Make sure your team are on top form creatively and keep up to date with the latest thinking and communication techniques
  • Deputise for the Head of Campaigns and Channels
  • Effectively brief, engage and manage our creative partners and agencies to get the best strategic and creative response
  • Create effective relationships, work collaboratively and be a trusted partner to stakeholders
  • Provide specialist input for IC&E campaigns; taking the lead on best practice and supporting the development of campaign skills across the team
Are you the right candidate?
  • Proven experience of delivering high impact employee engagement campaigns to drive understanding, sentiment, and behaviour
  • Proven experience of leading change and transformation communications
  • Ability to investigate, analyse and contextualise complex issues, presenting them in an engaging and impactful way to colleagues
  • Proven experience of an insight driven approach and best practice measurement techniques
  • Proven experience of developing a high performing team
  • A first class creative approach and appreciation of outstanding communications techniques both internal and external
  • Outstanding planning skills and the ability to oversee multiple high profile and demanding projects simultaneously
  • Brilliant interpersonal, management and communication skills
  • Good technical knowledge to deliver audio-visual graphic and online communications materials, including website, intranet, print, film, digital and social media
