Job Introduction

BBC Bitesize is looking for Researchers to help deliver educational content for audiences aged three to 16.

BBC Education exists to transform lives through education. That clear vision drives everything we do as we lead the overall education strategy for the BBC.

  • Provide every child in the UK with a personalised learning experience through BBC Bitesize;
  • Support and inspire classroom learning with world-class, curriculum linked programming; through BBC Teach;
  • Address societal and educational deficits within the UK through campaigns, such as BBC Super Movers and BBC Tiny Happy People.
Main Responsibilities

You will support Assistant Producers and Producers in delivering video, text, infographics, and interactives - inspiring and supporting young learners in their education.

You will have a great understanding of the diverse young audiences BBC Bitesize caters for and will be bursting with ideas to grow this audience and keep them engaged in learning.

You will have experience of generating and delivering digital content, ideally for a young or teenage audience.

You will be able to demonstrate that you are organised, can work independently, and have experience of working collaboratively in teams, and with external content providers.

Key skills required:
An understanding of young audiences and what engages and inspires them

Experience of creating high quality digital content

The ability to organise and take the lead on elements of projects

Experience of working with images and infographics

Experience of editing text and digital content

Digital publishing skills would include use of content management systems and image editing software
