We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR System Administrator to join our IT Department on a Fixed Term basis.

Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Lead Application Support Developer, the post holder will:

  • Create and maintain the setting up and the maintenance of system and rules.
  • Work closely with the project team across 2 sites to understand business requirements and configure and test structures and workflows that will satisfy out our business needs. Work closely with IT department to raise and resolve any technical and performance issues.
  • Play an integral role in the maintenance and support of the HR & Payroll system, which includes Core HR, Payroll, manager/employee self-service, crystal reporting, learning and development, absence management, web recruitment, on boarding, performance/talent management and health & safety modules.
  • Responsible for the everyday maintenance of areas such as; User accounts and access; Reviewing error logs; Creation and maintenance of batch jobs, mail merges, basic and advanced workflow; reporting, logging support tickets to the provider and/or ITS.
  • Develop bespoke management information solutions to ad-hoc and regular requests from internal and external business customers.

We’re keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Access / SelectHR experience.
  • Experience in working with HR & Payroll systems, with an understanding of parameters, lookup tables, workflow creation and rules.
  • Excellent attention to detail, methodical, logical and communication skills with experience in dealing with senior management discussing complex issues.
  • Technically competent with evidence of self-development and a natural curiosity for system development.
  • Highly organised self-starter with a willing to challenge in a constructive manner. Delivering Strong customer focus with tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Educated to graduate level (Desirable)
  • Professional IT Qualification (Desirable)

Salary - At or around £27,000 per annum, pro-rata

Hours of work - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
