We are looking for an experienced, trustworthy, and proactive Head of Marketing to join our industry leading, fast-paced team. Reporting directly to the Senior Management team, the purpose of this role is to; working with other departments, define, agree, and execute the strategy for the brand. You will be responsible for the development of the brand and the financial performance of the brand. The key responsibilities of this role are detailed below;

The role will initially come into our Route 1 Print sales brand to help set up and establish our CRM marketing strategy before moving into our latest acquisition, luxury print brand Kingsbury press to build a long term marketing and creative team.

Marketing Strategy

Customer acquisition & retention is critical to the continued growth of the brand, this role is responsible for overseeing the marketing team. Pushing them to design successful campaigns to increase active customers and average customer value.

Day to day would involve

  • Work with marketing team to define strategy and campaigns
  • Producing data, reporting and actionable insight around Forward Profit, ROI and LTV
  • Setting marketing budgets based on overall brand strategy

Overall objective

  • To grow the number of active customers
  • To grow average customer value

Product Strategy

The brand must develop and maintain a product strategy that helps to drive the brand forward looking at both existing product development and also new products.

Specific areas for consideration

§ current customer requirements

§ opportunities for customer acquisition

§ volume required to produce effectively

§ opportunity cost of production development time

§ impact of product across business

Day to day would involve

  • Research around customer requirements / market opportunity / competitor analysis
  • Liaising / scoping with department heads i.e. web, artwork, CS, production streams
  • Producing forecasts for new products as well as existing product volume
  • Project management for product launches across business
  • Produce data and actionable insight around product performance

Overall objective

  • To Increase the range of products available
  • To grow average customer value

Pricing Strategy

The brand must develop and maintain an effective pricing strategy

Pricing strategy must take into account,

§ market competition,

§ acquisition strategy

§ existing product performance,

§ production capability,

§ overall brand position with regard to profit and loss.

Day to day would involve

  • Working with pricing executive(s) to establish and maintain a process of reviewing and testing pricing – taking into account variables above.
  • Defining new product pricing strategy
  • Evaluate pricing at a customer lifetime level and developing actionable insights for strategy.

Overall objective

  • To increase revenue
  • To maintain healthy profitability

Web Development Strategy

Key Areas

§ Primarily determined by acquisition, product and CRM strategy

Day to day would involve

  • Working with department heads to scope, appraise and set priority for projects
  • Regular review of priority list to ensure development is in line with brand strategy
  • Setting level of resource based on overall brand strategy

Overall objective

  • To constantly develop the E-Commerce platform
  • To ensure a positive ROI from development costs

Salary is dependent upon experience

Hybrid approach to working - Its anticipated that this role will require 2/3 days a week in the office
