Job Description

Pertemps are currently working for a well-known company based in Glasgow who have a requirement for a Finance Team Leader to join their busy Finance department. This role is based on the outskirts of Glasgow City Centre and is paying circa £33k (Salary will be depending on experience)

You will ensure the smooth running of the Finance & Purchase Ledger team, and be first point of contact for all finance and purchase ledger queries.

Main Responsibilities:
    Manage the team and distribute work accordingly
    Oversee, daily bank statement postings
    Prepare daily cashbook & cash flow forecasting
    Oversee, bank reconciliations
    Oversee, the match, batch, code and process invoices
    Oversee Monthly Credit Card expense posting
    Oversee Rent, Rates and Utility expenditure
    Run and check weekly creditor reports
    Maintain clear audit trails for all transactions
    Reconcile invoices and deal with queries/discrepancies for suppliers and from Purchase Ledger & Finance Clerks
    To assist with the administration of Purchase Orders
    Weekly review and resolution of invoices held for query
    Ensuring that all accounts are reconciled with statements promptly and before month end closedown
    Oversee setting up of supplier payment runs and provided remittances advices
    Ensuring all capital costs are through ledgers on Monthly basis
    Preparing Intercompany transactions through all ledgers
    Upload payment runs to the banking system

Skills & Experience
    The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience within a Purchase Ledger Supervisory capacity
    Be organised and self-motivated
    Possess excellent numeracy and communication skills
    A team player
    Good Microsoft Office knowledge
    Enjoys prioritising multiple tasks and duties efficiently
    Comfortable performing both data input and higher-level reporting
