Job Description

Job Title - Senior Finance Administrator
Salary- £28,000 - £32,000 (Depending on experience)
Location - Whitchurch, Bristol
Contract- Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours - 34.5 hours per week, 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday - Thursday and 8.00am - 3.30 pm Friday (some flexibility can be discussed)

Office Based Only - NO Hybrid

Working for a vibrant, family run contraction company trading for over 40 years supporting a variety client in several sectors such as schools, councils, industrial sites and residential.

The Role

The Senior Finance Administrator will oversee the administration and financial areas of the business and co-ordinate with all staff to ensure smooth running of the organisation. Responsibilities will include tracking business results, performing financial analyses and monitoring performance. You will be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service, manage compliance and implement best practices across all levels.

Main Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Administrator:
    Maintain office accounting system (Sage Online), entering information and maintaining records
    Oversee accounts payable and receivable, retentions and reconciliations
    Banking and petty cash
    Statutory returns including VAT and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
    Monitor financial data and recommend solutions that will improve profitability reporting to Managing Director
    Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way
    Review processes and improve workflow in the business
    General Office administration
    Advertising, and social media
    Ensure Tender submissions are prepared and submitted by due date
    Customer Liaison, and quality of customer service
    IT Management and liaison with IT support
    Assist with Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental compliance
    Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise

Requirements of the Senior Finance Administrator:
    Familiarity with Sage Online Accounting
    Organisational skills and leadership
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control
    Financial experience desirable
    Solid experience in Administration required
    Knowledge of general business software, including a good level of IT skills

Salary & Benefits
    Up to £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
