As a result of an internal restructure, they now have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join their team, take responsibility for their own ledger and build long-lasting relationships with customers to ensure company cash flow.

The Duties

As Sales Ledger and Credit Control clerk you will be an integral part of the finance team, reporting to the supportive and easy-going Credit Control Manager while working closely with colleagues across various departments.

You will take ownership for the invoicing and credit control for your own ledger of customers, reconciling the bank account, chasing overdue payments, taking payments, and allocating cash to the ledger.

The Requirements

You will enjoy working in a close-knit finance team supporting the maintenance of the accounts, Sales Ledger and being a key credit controller within the team. Experience in a similar role or a transferrable role i.e., that requires customer interaction and having difficult conversations over the phone is essential.

You will be an excellent relationship builder, both with colleagues across the organisation and with customers, as well as pride yourself on your organisational skills. The ideal candidate will hold great integrity and work ethic, as well as an ability to show tenacity and confidence where required. You will be able to show real initiative and thrive in situations which require investigation and query resolution.
