THE EMPLOYER AND OPPORTUNITY

We are recruiting for a local chartered accountancy practice based in Blackburn who are looking for an accountant to join their small local firm. Our client provides a full range of accountancy and payroll services to small and medium sized businesses, including year-end statutory accounts, management accounts, as well as tax returns and advisory work.

THE DUTIES

You will be supporting on the accounts preparation and tax work as part of a team of 7 people, directly supporting the Partner and alongside another Senior Accountant. The firm have a large portfolio of over 400 Ltd Companies and Sole Traders, up to around £3 million in turnover, receiving new business on a regular basis through referrals and word of mouth.

The Requirements

You will be ACA / ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years current experience in a similar role in an accountancy practice. Alternatively, you may be AAT qualified and also Qualified by Experience.

You will have excellent communication skills with experience of interacting with a variety of clients; this will come easily and naturally to you. You may also have in depth knowledge of QuickBooks and Zero Online or similar cloud accounting software. You will also have excellent computer skills in particular Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
