Dot Recruit are proud to have partnered with a locally renowned independent organisation based in East Lancashire to recruit for a Finance Analyst (16 hours pw) who will report to the Commercial Director in a newly created opportunity.

Although this business is steeped in history and tradition, having been established for 100 years, they have moved with the changing times in an agile and forward-thinking fashion. This approach meant they successfully navigated the pandemic, resurfacing with exciting vision and growth plans for the coming years relating to the attraction and retention of new customers through state-of-the-art site developments, improved marketing, and their reputation for excellence.

As the organisation pushes forward with this growth and development, they have restructured creating two senior finance opportunities; Finance Manager to lead the finance function and produce the Management Accounts and Finance Analyst to ensure there is strong data visibility within the business to drive performance.

The Role

As Finance Analyst you will work very closely with the Finance Manager and Commercial Director, offering high-level financial support and strategic thinking to drive critical decision making.

In this role you will ensure optimum processes, procedures, reporting software and systems are in place to drive the business forward. You will support the senior leadership team by ensuring that relevant and accurate financial information is provided within reporting timescales.

In addition you will contribute to the production of long-term financial forecasts and provide advice to the business on Finance related matters including legislation compliance.

The Requirements

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA, qualified to be considered for this opportunity. You will possess Advanced Excel skills and have a keen interest and track record in adding value within a business to drive performance and insight.

It goes without saying you will have exceptional people skills to succeed in this role and enjoy making processes better. As this is not a typical accounts/finance role only preparing the accounts etc., you will be commercially minded working closely with the incredibly talented Commercial Director and Finance Manager; you will be adaptable, dynamic to manage multiple workstreams/projects, confident to liaise with a variety of stakeholders and hungry to contribute to business growth.
