Are you an experienced Payroll Bureau Advisor working in an accountancy practice and are looking for a new challenge in a dynamic team environment?

The Employer And Opportunity

We are currently working with one of the Top 100 Accountancy Firms in the UK who are based in East Lancashire. They are looking for a Payroll Bureau Advisor to join their ever-growing payroll team. The payroll team work with a large variety of exciting clients focusing on owner-managed businesses and corporate subsidiaries.

The Duties

As part of the payroll team, your main priority will be to deliver excellent end-to-end payroll bureau and advisory services to all clients in accordance with the firm’s values, procedures and legislation in order to support the excellent reputation of the accountancy firm. You will gain valuable experience as you work as part of a team with the opportunity to advance to more senior roles in the future.

As a Payroll Bureau Advisor, you will support seniors and managers in a variety of payroll-related tasks including calculations and legislation as well as furlough claims and the transmission to HMRC.

The role will give you valuable exposure in a selection of Payroll tasks for a variety of different clients, helping to improve your knowledge of the field as well as your softer skills and teamwork abilities.

The Requirements

You will have at least 2 years of experience in payroll, preferably in a bureau environment or inhouse processing multiple payrolls. CIPP qualifications are desirable but not essential, study support is also offered for you to gain your CIPP qualifications whilst in your role as Payroll Bureau Advisor. Ideally, you will have knowledge of Iris Payroll Software and knowledge of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

Softer skills required include organisational skills and the ability to take initiative as you contribute towards the running of a busy department. You will also have strong verbal and written communication skills as you will have regular contact with clients.
