Compliance and Facilities Engineer – Celotex – Goole, Eggborough

This role is working at Celotex, part of Saint-Gobain Insulation and the Saint-Gobain group at our world class production facility in Goole, Eggborough. At Celotex we manufacture PIF thermal insulation used in a wide variety of applications.

As a Compliance and Facilities Engineer you will coordinate and manage the activities relating to EHS compliance within the Engineering Department’s remit, to ensure that the business complies to all Statutory and Mandatory requirements.

  • To identify any non-compliance, and create resulting action plans to rectify in a timely manner
  • To coordinate and manage PTW and contractor activities on site to ensure they are scheduled and carried out safely and in accordance with all applicable Saint-Gobain Safety Standards and National Health and Safety legislation.
  • To provide primary contact on site for Visitors and Contractors and assist with directing them to the relevant responsible person.
  • To be the site Electrical Duty holder and oversee that the site electrical installation meets all requirements, and anyone working with the electrical system is following safe working practices and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Schedule/carry out activities of the Facilities function on a daily basis to ensure efficient completion of site facilities jobs raised through SAP PM work requests including general building, joinery and plumbing tasks.

This role is working days Monday to Friday, with availability for potential overtime as required in line with the remit of the post.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Experienced in managing contractor control & PTW on busy manufacturing sites.
  • Experience managing site hazards and risks, alongside applicable knowledge of HSE legislation, RFSO, PSSR, EAWR, L8, LOLER, WAH, etc.
  • As a minimum holds IOSH Managing Safely accreditation.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • HND in electrical engineering and experience of being a site electrical duty holder would be a huge advantage, although not essential.
