Do you want to make an important contribution towards the safeguarding and protection of children, young people and families?
The East Riding Safeguarding Children Partnership (ERSCP) is made up of East Riding of Yorkshire County Council, East Riding Clinical Commissioning Group, and Humberside Police. Their aim is to make sure that children and families can get the right support, in the right place at the right time. We are doing this by
Working together to identify and respond to the needs of children in the area
Commissioning and publishing local child safeguarding practice reviews
Making sure of the effectiveness of the local safeguarding arrangements which are independently scrutinised.
The ERSCP Partnership’s Business Unit is able to offer an exciting opportunity to support this work on a six month temporary basis as a level 2 Children’s Services Support Administrator. The unit is situated in the ERYC Safeguarding and Partnership Hub.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to delivering a quality service. The successful candidate should have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt in a busy and changing environment. To undertake this role successfully you need to be customer focused, able to work easily within a challenging environment, have excellent administrative and organisational skills and have the motivation and desire to achieve a high quality service. You will have an eye for detail and should be able to demonstrate effective use of a range of ICT systems / software packages. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be the first point of contact for members of the public, stakeholders and other professionals in relation to local safeguarding children partnership queries and information. A high level of customer service is required, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive material. Teamwork plays a vital role, as does the ability to meet deadlines and work on your own initiative. Knowledge of children’s safeguarding is desirable, however a willingness to learn and develop as part of the East Riding child safeguarding multi-agency response is vital.
Please note that you must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of this customer-facing role).
