Do you want to make a significant difference to the lives of children with additional needs? This is an exciting opportunity to be a Care Officer at the brand new East Riding local authority children’s home for children with special educational needs.
We are looking for a child centred practitioner who understands the unique role residential care has in supporting vulnerable children and young people with additional needs to achieve their potential.
Our vision is to ensure that vulnerable children and young people receive excellent placements in the local area and support to keep them safe and to make sure they reach their full potential. This includes ensuring the day to day welfare and care of children/ young people. The post will be on a rota basis including weekend work and sleep in duties. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children / young people and/or in adults social care settings.
The successful candidate will have QCF level 3 or equivalent or be willing to work towards i t.
