About the role and our team

The Curraghs Wildlife Park are looking for a friendly, approachable and flexible Casual Receptionist Sales person who works well as part of a team and is able to communicate well at all levels. You will be working ’front of house’ providing an excellent service to our visitors.

This is the first point of contact for all public visiting the Park. This role will include working shifts on weekends, weekdays and Bank Holidays. The shifts are normally based on 4 hours 9.15am-1.15pm and 1.00pm-5.15pm. As a general guide, we will ask you to do 2 shifts per week in the summer season, and one per fortnight over the winter season. This may vary, however.

You will be responsible for administering tickets, shop and membership purchases as well as providing information and assistance to the Park visitors.

Some of the other duties of this role are:

  • Being responsible for the daily cash handling procedures
  • Ensure accurate administration of card payments and operation of the till
  • Provide customer information regarding our site and events
  • Help maximise sales potential and opportunities in the Shop

Please note a basic police check is required for this post which the Department will cover the cost of for you.
