The Supported Housing Team is a CQC registered service that works across local communities to support and enable people who have a learning disability/autism to live as independently as possible in their own homes. We seek a self -motivated, positive, and committed person, with good core values, to join our Beverley team in a temporary Care Worker role, working as part of a small team supporting people across our Beverley and Woodmansey ISL schemes.
Are you
Able to offer previous experience of working with people, be it in a paid or voluntary capacity
Able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of people who have a learning disability/ autism
Seeking to develop your knowledge, skills, and experience in social care
Caring, friendly, and able to offer person centred approaches to others
Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of a service that works across a seven day rota from 7am to 10 pm, including alternate weekends, bank holidays as required by rota, sleep in duties as required (allowance payable).
You will need to hold a full driving licence and be able to provide your own transport in order to move across the service as required in the role
Duties will include supporting individuals with personal care routines, daily living skills, social activities and outings, employment, hobbies and interests and community involvement – supporting people to achieve their desired outcomes in life in the way they choose.
Qualification to QCF/ NVQ 2/3/ Care Certificate or equivalent is desirable.
This roles working hours are on a 7 day rota pattern. The work base is Supported Housing / Beverley ISL base.
This contract is fixed term for 12 weeks.
