Job description

Summary

Are you a skilled multi-tasker with a passion for helping get things done? We’re looking for a supportive Business Services Coordinator who can help our Legal team manage their many and varied tasks. You’ll provide a solid, reliable support to them and help them handle the day-to-day queries that crop up in the busy world of the National Trust.

What it’s like to work here

Our Legal & Governance directorate is based in our head office, Heelis in Swindon. It provides high quality, professional and responsive legal and governance support services to colleagues across the Trust.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.

What you’ll be doing

The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on at all times - you can guarantee that no day is the same, so you’ll have to love variety. You’ll be the foundation stone for our Legal Support team, who provide administrative and practical support to our lawyers and governance colleagues. You’ll help them make sure they have the things they need, when they need them and you’ll be happy to turn your hand to whatever tasks are needed to get the job done. You’ll be confident around filing systems, legal documents and willing to be an active, passionate part of our team.

In any given day you could be helping to pull together the documents needed for a legal file, copying papers for an important meeting or helping our colleagues co-ordinate an event. You could be supporting a team member on a piece of project work or helping co-ordinate travel for the Directorate Services Manager.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Great team player
  • Flexible and customer -focussed with strong customer service skills

Wherever you’re from, and whatever your background, we want to hear from you – and it doesn’t matter if you’re jam first, cream first, or even if you don’t like scones at all. Everyone is welcome.

Benefits for working at the National Trust include:
