Assistant Accountant Job, Oldham, Technology, £22-£30’000 per year depending on experience.

A global leader in their field and a NASDAQ listed company require a Assistant Accountant to join their expanding finance team.

Your new role

In your new role as an Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for producing timely, accurate reports and will help strategic projects relating to divestment’s, integrations of new acquisitions and entity rationalisation. Key responsibilities to include: completion of month end postings, reconciliations and reports to a demanding time frame, preparation of monthly management accounts together with supporting schedules and management information. Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of queries-ensuring the balance sheet remains clean and all issues and opportunities are identified and resolved. Liaison with internal budget holders and other key stakeholders on management results and the commercial impact of divisional performance. Review and accounting treatment of new contacts, input into the monthly forecasts and annual budget processes as required, support in the preparation of statutory accounts, tax compliance and audit schedules, work with external advisors and internal corporate functions such as tax, audit and treasury.Adherence to policies and procedures, including SOX framework.

What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role you will need to have previous experience or working in a large finance team,strong working knowledge of all Microsoft office packages, Outlook, Word and Excel. You will also need to be a part Qualified finance professional.

Knowledge of Oracle, SAP BO and Hyperion very desirable as will IFRS, US GAAP and European GAAP experience.
