Job Purpose

  • The role will support the Financial Controller to exercise financial control over all aspects of Debt Managers (Services) Limited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting results to the STB Group in line with accounting standards and the group reporting timetable
  • Prepare and post month end journals onto the SUN general ledger system
  • Prepare control account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including management of the fixed asset register
  • Prepare monthly KPI reporting for local Exco reporting
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts
  • Support the Operational Finance manager with information for credit control
  • Provision of local information in the preparation of the annual financial statements by STB Group and the annual external audit
  • Prepare the finance elements of the sale of customer accounts back to creditors
  • Review of regular payments prior to payment e.g. remittances, refunds
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns and submit returns to STB
  • Assist the regular forecasting & budget process

Knowledge/Experience

Core requirements (Must haves)

  • Qualified accountant or part qualified
  • Experience of working in a SME environment
  • Strong excel skills and be able to manipulate data quickly and efficiently.
